Complex PK-9M is designed for receiving and recording information coming through the X-band radio channel from Earth remote sensing satellites located in circular orbits with a height of more than 350 km.

The manufacturer of the enterprise is the Open Joint-Stock Company Russian Corporation for Rocket and Space Instrument Engineering and Information Systems (JSC Russian Space Systems).

The operating range of the radio channel (X-band) is from 8.025 to 8.400 GHz. 2 channels for receiving information. The operating frequency for each channel of information reception is tunable in the range from 8.025 to 8.400 GHz.

The speed of information reception for each channel:

  • 15.36 Mbit/s and 61.44 Mbit/s with the modulation method of the PFM;
  • 30.72 Mbps and 122.88 Mbps for the modulation method of DOPM.

The main purpose of the complex - receive information from the satellite of the Meteor-M series, the Kanopus-V series of satellites and other promising Russian satellite. It is possible to expand the number of types of remote sensing satellite from which information can be received by increasing the software and hardware of the complex.

The probability of distortion of received information is no more than 10-6. Time of transition of a complex from work on one КА to work on another КА is no more than 10 minutes. Formation of a scale of current time by signals of space navigation systems GPS and GLONASS. The amount of recorded information for each channel at the rate of receipt from the SC is at least 500 GB. The volume of temporarily stored information on the server is at least 2 TB. Registration of received information in the file structure in RSML format. Online display of received information in the form of halftone black and white and color images. Automatic status monitoring of the means of the complex, the signal level and the quality of the received information.

Complex PC-9M provides the solution of the following tasks:

  • receiving station;
  • antenna system.

Receiving station includes:

  • low-noise amplifiers-converters;
  • a block of converter receivers and a simulator converter with tunable operating frequency;
  • demodulators for demodulating an intermediate frequency signal for working with information of two frequency channels;
  • a control modulator for modulating the test signal into an intermediate frequency signal;
  • the device of personnel synchronization and imitation;
  • imitating converter of carrier frequency;
  • sets of hardware-software means for recording information to store data of two channels;
  • hardware-software means of online information viewing;
  • hardware-software means of centralized management, maintenance of a database, an operational archive of information and means of exact time.

Antenna system includes:

  • antenna post (supporting-rotary device, mirror system, antenna-feeder device);
  • traffic control equipment and power equipment (electric drive, transformers, magnetic starters, thyristor converters);
  • antenna control system.
